Toshiba Updates Satellite Pro line with Core i3 or Core i5 processorsThe Toshiba Satellite Pro line has been updated with Intel's Core i3 and i5 processors and AMD's latest dual core Athlon II processors. The models that have been updated are the 15.6 inch Satellite Pro C650 / C650D, the 13.3 inch L630, the 15.6 inch L650 / L650D and the 17.3 inch L670 /670D. While the models with the suffix D get the Athlon II processor, all others are available with a Core i3 or i5 processor.
The notebooks feature either a 1,600 x 900 or 1,366 x 768 pixels LED-backlit display, integrated Intel GMA HD graphics or the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145 discrete GPU,an optional Blu-ray drive and up to 8GB of RAM.
The notebooks also feature Toshiba's Media Controller software for streaming content to other devices in the network. No word on pricing or availability, but these machines are expected to be available in Europe and Asia sometime soon.
