Acer has officially launched four new netbooks in the US. The Acer Aspire One 521 and 721 are expected to be immediately available while the Acer Aspire D260 and D533 are due out by the end of July.Here’s a quick run down of each model:
The Acer Aspire One 721 is a mini-laptop with an 11.6 inch HD display. It is powered by an AMD Athlon II Neo K125 single core processor. Other specifications include ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive. The netbook runs Windows 7 Home Premium. The Aspire 721 is now up for order at Amazon for $480.
Acer Aspire One 521
The Acer Aspire One 521 has a 10.1 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels. It has the same AMD Neo K125 CPU and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics as the Aspire One 721. Other specifications of this model include 1GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive. It runs Windows 7 Starter. The Aspire One 521 is expected to sell for about $350.
Acer Aspire One 533
This netbook has a 10.1 inch with 1024 x 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Atom N475 CPU with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of memory, and a 250GB hard drive. The Aspire One 533 runs WIndows 7 Starter Edition. It comes standard with a 6 cell battery and should sell for about $330.
