Lenovo has started shipping its ThinkPad X201 series of notebooks. The series consists of three models – the standard X201, the thin and light X201s and the tablet X201t. All machines have high-end specs and a matching price tag.The ThinkPad X201 notebooks are an update to the previous ThinkPad X200 series. All models in the X201 line are powered by Intel Core i7 processors. The tablet model, the X201t, is expected to offer up to 8 hours of runtime. The thin and light X201s should get around 12 hours on a single charge.
The ThinkPad X201 notebooks are equipped with 12.1 inch displays. While the X201 and X201s has matte displays the X201t tablet has a touchscreen display. All machines run Windows 7 Ultimate.
Pricing
The regular ThinkPad X201 starts at $1099. The X201s has a starting price point of $1349. And at $2134, the X201t is the costliest of the three machines.
