Toshiba has introduced two thin and light laptops with Intel CULV processors. They are priced in the higher range of netbooks and offer decent performance and respectable battery life.The laptops dubbed T115 and T135 have 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch displays respectively. They can be configured with AMD (Neo/Turion) or Intel Pentium (SU4100) processors. The Intel version will have GMA 4500MHD graphics and is expected to offer up to 9 hours of uptime. The AMD version will have a more powerful ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics. While the discrete ATI GPU is good for gaming, it will bring down the battery life to 6 hours or less.
Both laptops measure around 1 inch in thickness. While the T115 weighs 3.5lbs, the T135 weighs 3.9lbs. Up to 320GB of storage and up to 4GB of RAM are available with the machines. Prices start at just $450, but a high-end configuration will go up as high as $700.
